Glass
Glass,
or glazing, is a very important element to the frame package as it
serves as the barrier protecting the visible parts of your artwork. For
maximum protection, special care must be taken to choose the correct
glazing for your art.
Artwork can be damaged if hung in direct sunlight or harsh
lighting environments. UV filtered glass has an invisible coating on
the inside of the glass to protect artwork from light damage.
Non-glare or anti-reflective glazing can be used if reflections are a concern.
The correct glazing option on your art can assist in enhancing a
piece’s color, detail, sharpness and clarity. Museum glass provides
anti-reflective properties, UV protection and maximum clarity for a
high-quality look. |
